Nods is an artist's book by Japanese artist Misa Asanuma.
The book brings together photographs, drawings, and prose. Rather than being separated by medium or organized into distinct chapters, these works are placed side by side throughout the book. Although each takes a different form, they exist on equal footing as fragments of thought born from observations of everyday life.
There are few dramatic events to be found here. Instead, Asanuma turns her attention to fleeting moments, ordinary encounters, and sensations that resist language. These observations unfold through photographs, drawings, and prose, each becoming a different expression of the same quiet way of seeing.
Throughout the book, Asanuma's works are distinguished by a striking sense of compositional clarity.
