Desiderea Nuncia (Emissary of Desire) combines the photographs of photographer, filmmaker, and visual artist SMITH, the texts of writer Lucien Raphmaj, and the architectural plans of Diplomates with some knowledge to materialize the phenomenon of desire. It is summarized as a method.
Drawing on its etymological confusion, which oscillates between the regret of losing a star (desideris) and the desire to regain it, desireration simultaneously presents a diagnosis and remedy for the scourge of our time, late capitalism, and the horrific evolution of mankind. Suggest a way. Our civilization has lost something fundamental in our everyday relationship with the starry sky. From this salient fact, which emphasizes the material and spiritual destruction of our society, new constructions of the imagination must proceed.
