SKREW KID utilizes acoustic guitars and vintage rhythm machines to pursue a unique "tape funkness" that is close to everyday life.
A new album, ``New Flat,'' where you can enjoy change while enjoying unchanging comfort, has been completed. This work was created based on the concept of moments spent at ``Flat Kitchen,'' a cafe/third place in Fukui City that SKREW KID himself frequents, and uses music to express the atmosphere of simple yet warm and delicious food that he feels every time he visits. doing. In particular, the song "Potage" was inspired by Flat Kitchen's Potage Soup, and was conceived as a unique response to Pavement's "Carrot Rope." It was created with the voice of Stephen Malkmus in mind. Like the previous work "Inspirations", which was well received, a limited number of cassette tapes with different content from the digital distribution version will be released in advance on November 4, 2023 (the distribution version is scheduled for 2024).

A musician from Shimane Prefecture. He formed the legendary electronic band ALL OF THE WORLD in Nagoya and was in charge of guitar and programming. Their first album, ``the dance we do,'' released in 2004, was highly praised by Sakanaction's Ichiro Yamaguchi as ``the most influential.'' After that, he released his second album "Finesse" in 2008, and his third album "lull" in 2021, his first in 13 years. In parallel with his band activities, he also works as a solo project SKREW KID. In 2005, he released his 1st album "speak slowly", in 2010 he released his 2nd album "room tapes" from Avex's vinyl records/dive in! disc, in 2018 he released his 3rd album "(s)", and in 2022 he released "Inspirations". ' was released on distribution and cassette tape. The warm, analog-feeling sound receives enthusiastic support from some quarters. Moved to Fukui Prefecture from Nagoya in 2015. He continues to be active in producing music for corporate commercials and providing music to overseas labels. He has always been strongly attracted to ``high quality but unfinished works'' and ``works that feel unfinished,'' and says, ``It's important to create gaps in the sound to leave room for the listener's imagination to expand.'' ” says.
