ドイツを拠点にする写真家 ヨヘン・レンペルト による作品集。本作は感光紙の上に直接ものを置いて光を当てる、カメラを用いない撮影技法フォトグラムによって制作されたシリーズを収録。2026年春〜秋にかけて金沢で開催された同名の展覧会にあわせて刊行された。「葉影」という言葉をタイトルに据え、植物の輪郭や質感、光によって浮かび上がる繊細なかたちを写し出している。たんぽぽの綿毛一本の繊細なライン、茎にある産毛など、自然が本来持っている細やかなディテールがモノクロによってその細部が強調されている。
生物学を学び、長年にわたり自然科学に親しんできたレンペルトは、自然や動物の世界を通して、我々の「見ること」や「認識」を主題に制作を続けてきた。本書には、近年取り組んできたフォトグラムおよびフォリオグラムの研究成果が収められている。
 
A photobook by German photographer Jochen Lempert. This volume collects a series created using the photogram technique, a cameraless process in which objects are placed directly onto photosensitive paper and exposed to light. Published in conjunction with the exhibition of the same title held in Kanazawa from spring to autumn 2026, Hakage captures delicate forms emerging through the contours, textures, and shadows of plants. The fine lines of a single dandelion seed, the tiny hairs along a stem, and other subtle details found in nature are emphasized through monochrome expression.
Having studied biology and long engaged with the natural sciences, Lempert has consistently explored themes of perception and ways of seeing through the worlds of plants and animals. This publication brings together recent works developed through his ongoing research into photograms and foliograms.
