G.O.F Magazine ISSUE3
The latest issue of GOF Magazine went on sale at the TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR held at the end of November 2024! GOF Magazine is known for its overwhelming quality and visuals, and has a loyal following in our store. It is an independent art magazine that features four artists and photographers in each issue. GOF stands for Gang of Four, and is generally known as a term that originates from the Chinese Cultural Revolution. However, in Europe and the United States, it is derived from the name of the British post-punk band of the same name, and means (a four-piece group).
Each issue, artists from Japan and abroad, regardless of their experience, will create or select from the archives a work that fits into one of GOF's themes and be featured.
The theme of the third issue is (BEAUTIFUL CREATURES). In line with this theme, which means beautiful creatures, the magazine features a collage-like mix of diverse beauty, including works that exude an eccentric taste, girly, positive energy, and lyrical depth, all of which are found within the artist's aesthetic, creating a content that is full of artistic stimulation.
Although each issue has a different theme, the unique personality of GOF is still alive and well, and it is only thanks to art director WATARU KOMACHI that the texture of each issue's theme is brought together into a single volume that allows readers to fully experience it.
Four unique individuals participated in the third issue

Wu Meichi, a Taiwanese artist known for her vibrant colors and unique worldview, not only exhibits her work but also collaborates with fashion brands. The digital collages, which exude both cuteness and venom, incorporate physical techniques and can also be defined as photographs.
