Batia Suter / Exosphere
This is an art book by Batia Suter, an artist from Switzerland and living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
To date, the author has used a collection of images related to art and history collected from books, magazines, newspapers, maps, etc. This work is structured in the form of a book, interweaving images of protective packaging for fruits, vegetables, headphones, etc., and images of collected armor. This art book deals with the basics of sculpture in an unexpected and indirect way. In modern times, we have "fixed images" based on what we have gained from various information and experiences. Regarding this meaning, the artist's analogical approach and his own recognition of the beauty of chance present viewers with a new perspective.
This work is a joint publication between Keijiban, an edition producer and publisher based in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, and an art exhibition space, and Roma Publications, a Dutch publisher.
