Ambre Husson / La nuit, tu mens
"On February 22, 2018, my father wrote me a letter. That letter became the starting point for 'La nuit, tu mens'.
Since that day, I have been creating each image one by one, carrying my camera and set with me. They were all conceived from small sketches. Then the work to create each of the elements that made up the pieces began, and the filming itself was only for the purpose of creating the elements. ” _Ambre Husson
A collection of works by Ambre Husson, a photographer living in Arles, France.
The author had just moved to Brussels when he started making this work. The practice of photography, which began as a response to his father, took shape as a collection of works after several exhibitions. Amble focuses on memory, its construction, and living environment. His knowledge of directing and storytelling is both poetic and personal, helping him construct photographic works that are particularly particular about expressive techniques.
“There is something indescribable in Ambre's photographs. It is the creation of a photographic language of its own, a new code of newly invented, mysterious symbolism that overreacts and confuses. It is also a mystical code of community, a choreography of bodies and objects that evokes the shamelessness we are forced into when dialogue is blocked.'' David Le Simple (excerpt from review on Radio Campus Bruxelles) )
